What is STAYC 2 L0VE?

2:LOVE is the sixth single album by South Korean girl group STAYC, released on June 16, 2026. The album is distributed under High Up Entertainment and licensed to Kakao Entertainment. STAYC, which stands for "Star To A Young Culture," is a six-member girl group under High Up Entertainment that debuted in November 2020.

The single album contains four tracks, with the title track stylized as "2 L0VE" using a zero in place of the letter 'O'. This stylization connects to the album's tennis-themed concept, referencing the 2:0 score format used in the sport. The production involves Black Eyed Pilseung's Rado, who co-produced the title track alongside much of STAYC's existing material.

The album was released in multiple physical versions, including a standard version and a PLVE version, each containing different photobook configurations and collectible items. The standard version includes a 56-page photobook, CD, bookband, fragrance card, photo cards, postcards, and member letters. This release marks STAYC's continued presence in the K-pop industry, building on their established "teen fresh" musical identity while exploring summer-themed pop sounds.

The first verse continues with "Now, now, now I know 헷갈리고 있는데 / Now, now, now you move 아무 생각 못 하게 / Why, why, why, oh, boy? / 나의 ponytail보다 높이 뛰는 heartbeat". The refrain includes "Pretty eyes I know jump right in / Silly face 나 이대로 dive in / 알려줘 너의 everything". The chorus repeats "Two love, two love Keep calling / 처음 느끼는 emotion / 져도 져도 괜찮은 걸".

English translation

The translated opening maintains "2 LOVE 2 LOVE I'm falling / 2 LOVE 2 LOVE Keep calling". The first verse translates to "Now now now I know, I'm getting so confused / Now now now you move Making me lose my mind / Why why why oh boy My heartbeat jumps faster than my ponytail sways". The chorus conveys "An emotion I've never felt / It's okay even if I lose my way".

Review and reception of 2 L0VE

The release marked STAYC's return following an 11-month absence from promotional activities, during which disbandment speculation emerged within fan communities. Member Yoon addressed these concerns, stating she could not imagine living without her bandmates. The album received a user score of 76 based on 52 ratings on Album of the Year. Multiple users praised the production quality, with one reviewer describing the b-sides as exceptionally executed and another characterizing the project as "kpop perfection". A separate review ranked all four tracks at 10/10, calling the release a perfect summer EP and potentially one of STAYC's strongest projects.

High Up Entertainment announced a multi-city fan concert tour titled "Stay Closer" in support of the release, scheduled across seven locations including Seoul, Manila, Macao, Taipei, Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney. Industry analysts predicted strong ticket sales alongside the deployment of exclusive digital content as part of marketing strategies. The reception presents a contrast to previous critical assessments of STAYC's work, notably NME's 3/5 rating for their 2022 release "We Need Love," which suggested the group had played it safe.
