Background
On March 20, 2024, Sway reported that IVE recently finished recording for their upcoming comeback. On April 3, the group released a teaser for their second EP IVE Switch, set for release on April 29.
Composition
"Heya"
"Heya" is a song that starts with a strong rap and overwhelms the atmosphere in the chorus, conveying a variety of charms. It is an impressive song with an addictive melody that can be sung along by people of all ages, and lyrics that are reconstructed in the 2024 IVE version of the classic tale 'The Tiger Who Loved the Sun' related to the sun.
"Accendio"
"Accendio" is described as a song that sings about the fatal emotions one faces, and the dreamy synth arpeggio sound and unique 808 bass sound create a mysterious atmosphere. The tight trap drums and break beats harmoniously combine to further complete the song.
"Blue Heart"
"Blue Heart", with its sweet vocals and unique chorus harmony, is a song that lets you feel a unique emotion that IVE has never shown before. Sophisticated drum beats and heavy, powerful bass fill the sound of the song, and the diverse voices of the members come together to create a unique atmosphere. Member Jang Wonyoung wrote the lyrics, depicting a strong woman who was reborn from a red, warm heart to a blue, cold heart to survive in this era.
