Nancy Jewel McDonie, known professionally as Nancy (낸시), is a Korean-American singer signed to MLD Entertainment. Nancy is the maknae of the MLD Entertainment girl group MOMOLAND. Nancy was born in Daegu, South Korea to an American father and a Korean mother, however she grew up in Ohio.
She auditioned for Korea's Got Talent in 2011 as part of the hip-hop group 'Cutie Pies.' The team advanced to the semi-finals. In her adolescence, she starred in several TV shows, including Mak Irae Rae Show: Just Do It Expedition, in which she traveled to the Philippines and Saipan alongside South Korean actress Kim Yoo-jung.
She was a former Nega Network trainee before joining MLD Entertainment. She won first place in the reality survival program "Finding Momoland," earning her position in the group. On November 10, 2016, she made her MOMOLAND debut with the release of their first mini album, Welcome to Momoland.
